About Baka-Images

What's the idea behind this site?
Baka-Images is a community that collects parody and macro images, mostly from anime but not necessarily limited to that. Upload your favorite images from your collection to share with the rest of the community. Images that we find particularly hilarious will be posted to the front page.

Do I have to register separately for the main site, gallery and the forum?
No, the three are integrated and only require one registration. However, an account is not required to post images.

I found a duplicate/miscategorized/inappropriate image in the gallery. Who do I contact?
Send an email to gallery@baka-images.com and we'll fix the problem.

My image doesn't seem to fit into a category in the gallery. Where should I submit it?
You can either submit it to the general category, or if you have many images of similar nature that you would like to submit, you can create your own gallery in the Member Section.

What types of images are not allowed?
Images that contain adult content such as hentai and images that are offensive to a wide audience are not allowed.

Are there any limitation on how big my image can be?
Images must be under 10,000 by 10,000 pixels and under 3 MB.

What do I do if the file size of my submission is over the limit?
The first thing you should try is converting your image to JPG format. PNG and GIF are lossless formats which can cause the file to be quite large. Compressing it as a JPG can help reduce the file size without significantly impacting quality. If your file is still too large, you can reduce the image resolution to lessen the file size.

Why does my submission need to be approved before going into the gallery?
To ensure that your image is appropriate, and uploaded in the right category.

Can I become staff on the site?
Depends what you can do. Coders, news posters, and gallery moderators are in need at the moment, but if you don't fall into one of those categories, still feel free to email us at webmaster@baka-images.com.
