Devil May Cry 4: Nero instead of Dante?
« on: January 07, 2008, 12:50:45 PM »
Loving Devil May Cry to death, i was thoroughly disappointed to see that there is a new "main" character.  Well, there are advantages and disadvantages to it i guess....i mean it would be wonderful to actually be able to fight dante, the man we've all played as and developed complex fighting strategies with...but i don't like dante being put out of the main light.  i've always seen things through his perspective.  DMC3 was just wonderful being able to fight as vergil, if anyone was going to be another main character in DMC it would have to be vergil.  but on the bright side hopefully dante will be immersed throughout the game (and him being the bad guy would be awesome) so that it won't feel like he's being replaced because if he is i'm coming up to kick capcom's butt.  truly i'll be able to give my opinion on the game itself once i play it, but these were my first impressions beforehand, whadda bout you?

well i also think vergil would have been a better second character to use also. well nero is already here so there is nothing that can be done about it. on a good note the game is coming to PC so i'll be able to play it and i hope we get to use dante sooner that later in the game.
With God all things are possible.

I've said this before on M7. You use BOTH Dante and Vergil, and Dante is still there. He isn't the
bad guy, He kills some evil people from Nero's group, but Nero doesn't know they're evil then he starts to hate
Dante, and Dante of course doesn't care about him, as he's not a target.
Dante is mature in this game, and is not a young wiseass.
Go look for a demo, or someone who has a beta [I have], I've played it, and know what to expect.
I'm glad to know that RaptorEagle doesn't read my posts at M7

yea.....thanx for the info but i was just asking for what first impressions you got, not for an enjoyable bashing and ego fix.  regardless i still don't like nero.  and dante's been mature before so its no new thing. this is exactly why i don't go to forums, i've never met such a collection of, how'd you like to say it...."wiseasses" in my life. have fun deleting this post kusogaki.

Well, arwen_luna, I may seem like a wiseass but you're even bigger as you see I clearly say RaptorEagle's name. Glad to know that you are a wiseass you can't read posts clearly. I didn't talk to you, and am
not rude to people I don't know, but RaptorEagle I know in real life.
So you may just toss off arwen_luna.
